Dear Mother:–

After I finished writing last night at 10 I booked a bed, and found a very pleasant man in the room helping sort us out to our right beds and seeing that boys do not come in who have not paid there 6¢ after we talked a few minuites and he did every thing in his power to help me get into bed, all because of the bandage I wear, he left I got into bed, and he soon came back with a piece of paper in his hand and he told me it was his name and street address, he gave me an invitation to his home for seven O.K. supper tonight, It is a rainy day but there is going to be a boy in blue call sharp at seven a Mr Andersons. It is strong where and when you will meet men who become your freinds. I will tell you later of what kind of a time I have.

It took me most of the A.M. to change my stopping place up to the Club and find the hospital and get my dressings done. The Scotch doctor was very indignent about the treatment I have been receiving for my hand so far. He says the little wound that has to yet heal is nearly nothing but the fact that you will have a stiff hand if you don't work it  your self each day is terrible, he thinks I should be having massages each day, and the doctors never told me about the necessity of working my hand my self I thot there was lots of time to do that, but I guess this doctor does not beleave in putting anything of till tomorrow that you can do today. the nurses were very nice fixed me up all together on an other plan to the canadian sister, I will tell you all about it later on

Bye bye as ever
Laurie
